Prof. Marcel Salathé

Marcel Salathé is Co-Director of the AI Center at EPFL and Professor of Digital Epidemiology. He holds a PhD in biology from ETH Zurich and specialises in the interface between health and computer science. His research focuses on the application of computer modelling and machine learning to disease surveillance and prediction. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a key role in the development of digital solutions for contact tracing. Salathé is co-founder of the organisation CH++, which promotes scientific and technological literacy in politics, government and society.
