Isabelle Jacobi

The journalist with over 20 years of professional experience has been a member of the NZZ foreign desk with responsibility for the USA dossier since April 2024. She describes and analyses political events in the United States. From 2022 to 2024 she was editor-in-chief of Der Bund (Tamedia). From 2017 to 2022 she was a correspondent for Radio SRF in Washington, where she experienced the turbulent presidency of Donald Trump at first hand. From 2009 to 2017, she worked for the news programme Echo der Zeit as a producer, presenter and head of department. Isabelle Jacobi has a broad education with a focus on communication from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, a licentiate in English, Swiss history and theatre studies from the University of Bern, as well as a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Business and Finance from Columbia University in New York.
